Unsure about anything?
We’re here to help guide you.
Placement of embroidered items is measured while the garment is worn. Placement recommendations can be adjusted in consultation with our production team.
1. Design Preparation:
A digital artwork is created and prepared in design software.
2. Film Printing:
The design is printed onto a clear PET film using a special DTF printer. A layer of white ink is printed on top of the CMYK colours to create a backing.
3. Powder Application:
While the ink is still wet, a hot-melt adhesive powder is evenly applied to the back of the film.
4. Curing the Adhesive:
The powder-coated film is heated in a curing oven or on a heat press to melt the adhesive powder. The powder transforms into a waxy texture, acting as the adhesive to bond the design.
5. Heat Transfer:
The cured transfer film is placed onto the fabric using a heat press at a specific temperature, pressure, and duration. This bonds the design to the garment.
